Ultrasounds

Effective imaging tests without radiation.

What is an ultrasound?

An ultrasound scan uses high-frequency sound waves to produce pictures of the inside of the body. We use ultrasounds to capture real-time images of the structure and movement of the body’s internal organs, as well as blood flow through blood vessels.

Cardiac Ultrasounds

Echocardiogram- test that uses sound waves to produce live images of your heart. This test allows your doctor to monitor how your heart and its valves are functioning. The images can help them get information about: blood clots in the heart chambers.

Vascular Ultrasounds

Carotid Doppler
Arterial Doppler (Lower extremity with ABI, upper extremity)
Venous Doppler (Upper and lower extremities)
Aortic Doppler
Renal Doppler
A Doppler ultrasound is a test that uses high-frequency sound waves to measure the amount of blood flow through your arteries and veins. A Doppler ultrasound is a risk-free and pain-free procedure that requires little preparation. The test provides the physician with important information about the flow of blood through the major arteries and veins. It can also reveal blocked or reduced blood flow through narrowed areas in the arteries, which could eventually lead to a stroke.

General Ultrasound

  • Complete Abdomen
  • Thyroid
  • Renal
  • Pelvic

Videonystagmography (VNG)

What is videonystagmography (VNG)?

Videonystagmography (VNG) is a test that measures a type of involuntary eye movement called nystagmus. These movements can be slow or fast, steady or jerky. Nystagmus causes your eyes to move from side to side or up and down, or both. It happens when the brain gets conflicting messages from your eyes and the balance system in the inner ear. These conflicting messages can cause dizziness.

You can briefly get nystagmus when you move your head a certain way or look at some types of patterns. But if you get it when you don’t move your head or if it lasts a long time, it may mean you have a disorder of the vestibular system.

Your vestibular system includes organs, nerves, and structures that are in your inner ear. It is your body’s main center of balance. The vestibular system works together with your eyes, sense of touch, and brain. Your brain communicates with the different systems in your body to control your balance

What is it used for?

VNG is used to find out if you have a disorder of the vestibular system (the balance structures in your inner ear) or in the part of the brain that controls balance.

WHAT IS MOBILE CARDIAC TELEMETRY?

Mobile cardiac telemetry (MCT) is a method of recording a patient’s heart activity via a small, convenient, and portable device. It’s performed in the patient’s home and daily environment, where symptoms for various cardiac events, including bradycardia, tachycardia, and arrhythmia, are more likely to appear.
MCT allows monitoring and data collection for up to 30 days, versus only 24-48 hours with Holter monitoring. The extended length of testing provides more data to help ensure accurate arrhythmia diagnosis and management.

Patient support is available from Shores Diagnostic 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

At Shores Diagnostic, we are dedicated to providing high level services to physicians and patients. Our center receives and monitors transmitted MCT data 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Physicians are notified immediately upon detection of irregularities in a patient’s testing.

At study conclusion, our technicians send referring physicians a comprehensive, easy-to-read report to assist with appropriate diagnosis and therapy management. Most test results are promptly delivered within 3-5 days of disconnect.

Our mobile cardiac telemetry services feature:

  • Auto-trigger functionality, allowing for the early detection of specific arrhythmias, such as AFib.
  • Wireless data transmission through a Wi-Fi hotspot, which is programmed to send EKG recordings at 10-minute intervals. Other monitors utilize cellular networks, which can experience gaps in coverage, or worse, a lack of signal altogether.
  • Easily accessible patient support 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure accuracy.

Shores Diagnostic Delivers Video EEG Monitoring And Testing To Your Door

Monitored By Registered EEG Technologists In The Comfort Of Your Own Home. A Video-Monitored Home EEG Test Through Shores Diagnostic Delivers Diagnostic Accuracy Equal To An In-Hospital EEG Test, At A Lower Cost To Both The Patient And Payor, In The Privacy And Comfort Of The Patient’s Home. What Is Video EEG Monitoring (VEEG)?An EEG Records The Electrical Activity Of Your Brain, Also Known As Brainwaves. Video EEG Monitoring Records A Video Of What Your Body Is Also Doing During The Home EEG Test. A Doctor Will Look At The Video And The Test Results Together. These Two Pieces Of Information Help Your Doctor Determine If Your Seizure Or Symptom Was Related To The Electrical Activity In Your Brain. Video EEG Monitoring Is Considered The Gold Standard For Diagnosing Seizures And Symptoms. It Allows Your Doctor To See Any Type Of Event Or Symptom That Happens While You Conduct Your Normal Daily Activities And Sleep. At Shores Diagnostic, We Strive To Be The Gold Standard For Video EEG At Home Testing.
